Hello.. I own a 2007 Toyota Tundra and i want to tow a 1974 27 feet silverton boat weighing at 8500
pound.? Its a 27 feet Silverton Fb Sedan. What type of boat trailer rating should i use for this boat. Would i be able to haul this boat safely with the '07 Tundra??
It will pull the boat and trailer, but I would make sure the trailer hitch is the torsion bar type that compensates for trailer weight on the tongue and keeps the tow vehicle close to level. Check this site out for info.....
check your owners manual under "towing capacity" . it will tell you how many lbs. your Tundra can tow. if u lost your manual , just call any Toyota Dealer service department and ask them..... they will look it up and tell you.
The V8 will tow 8000 with 4.7 and with V6 5000 easily as they would actually pull 10,000 but need to be safe and a lot of people would abuse the fact that it can tow that much if done properly. Your boat weighs less then 6000 so no problem.
