Default speakers in toyota tacoma?
i just found out that there are rear speakers in my 2009 toyota tacoma. they are in the roof! does anyone know if there is a way to access them cause i want to disconnect them so i dont blow them cause i got a new head unit and speakers.

i have an 01 taco....and a nissan 350z and have been around a lot of systems and things.if the new tacos have the rear speakers in the roof,i would say your head liner has to come down.which is a lot of work lol. hard to say with out seeing it tho.hope this helps =]

Cut wires and solder, then cap.

Here's a nice long (lol) thread about this very problem with many solutions.































I don't know if you have an XRunner or not, but the Speakers are the same in all the Tacoma Models.































Apparently everything is setup for the rear speakers in the door. They just didn't put any in there.































It's a good read, but at 6 pages long it'll take awhile to get through.
