If you maintain them, they will last a lifetime and then some. It's not unusual for them to hit 300K before needing the motor replaced.
Even if you abuse them they can easily run 200K. I had a friend that ran his dry (no oil) for at least a few days. He found it, filled it with oil and it hit 250 before it needed to be replaced.
98K is a little high. But they last so long it's not that big a deal.
Make sure you check Kelly Blue Book value on it! People often ask more than it's worth simply because it's a Toyota.
