Yes and no. Vegetable oil is much more viscous than diesel, the engine is probably direct injection common rail (the other alternative is indirect injection which i think is more forgiving) and runs at a rail pressure of around 15,000psi. The high pressure fuel injection pump cannot Handel this viscous fuel and could be damaged. However there are two options you could heat the oil to say 80C which will make it less viscous before reaching the high pressure fuel pump (there are kits available). second option is to convert the oil to biodiesel using ethanol/methanol and sodium hydroxide the result is a much thinner fuel which can be mixed with diesel to various %'s and should not damage your engine.
