Brown-ish Transmission fluid, needs to be changed?

I have a 2000 Toyota Avalon XLS (I bought it used at 106,XXX), The Transmission fluid is kind of brown-ish. I doubt it ever been changed before. The mileage is at about 109,500 now. Does it need to be changed? or Fully flushed? and How do I fully flush it out of the gearbox and the Torque Converter by myself, without taking it to a Dealer? And what about the filter, does need to be changed also? if so where is it located? I read online somewhere it said that asian car doesn't need to change the filter.

Yes brownish is no good, does it smell burnt? a lot of car repair/service companys will flush the fluid, out with the bad and in with the good. When a flush is done it gets the converter also, thats a good thing, it get all the fluid, they will do this for about 70$ not a bad deal. I do my car and still cost's me 30$ and I cant get the converter, with out a lot of work so it does not get done, let them do it it's worth it.

yea it probably needs to be changed. automatic transmission fluid is supposed to be redish, not brown. if its brown, it needs to be changed.

there are vids on youtube on how to change your fluid.
