Bubbles in sight glass are not used on an R134a system as they were on the older R12 systems. Used to be that on the older systems, you could charge them based on the bubbles in the sight glass...when bubbles were gone, system was charged. Not so on the newer R134a systems. These systems typically use less refrigerant and therefore they must more precisely measured in order for them to be more efficient. Generally, if you use the sight glass only when charging an R134a system, the system will be over charged when the bubbles have disappeared. The proper and best way to charge newer systems is the actually weigh the amount of refrigerant going in and keep it within the factory specs. If you did that, and you still the bubbles in the sight glass, you are okay. As long as the amount (weight) you put in is what the system holds. Normal vent temperatures on recirc. with windows up and blower on low / medium speed should be somewhere between 34 - 40 degrees depending on ambient air temp. outside and whether vehicle is sitting stationary or moving down the highway.
