I got a hole in a coolant reservoir tank in my toyota camry?

Default I got a hole in a coolant reservoir tank in my toyota camry?
it's 96 camry















Do i have to use genuine toyota part or identical one or something close to will do the job?

Their is a liquid availible in the market which u can pour in to the coolant reservoir, or go to a welding shop and the will weld it.

You should use the proper one. You should be able to find one easily and cheaply from a junkyard.

I tried to search their inventory, but I couldn't come up with anything. If you email them or give them a call I'll bet they have one for less than $30.































You could use something close, but then you have to worry about it not fitting right and how to secure it. Plus if the plastic isn't the right kind it can corrode or melt from the heat.

It is pretty common for these tanks to get a hole in them in the upper corner. The factory part is VERY expensive and if you get a used one it will probably fail soon too. I have fixed a bunch of them by just carefully cleaning around the hole and using some RTV silicone to patch it. I am assuming you are referring to the reservoir on the right inner fender. If you are talking about the top tank of the radiator, it needs to be replaced. If it is the radiator there are some pretty good aftermarket ones out there that are a lot cheaper than the factory ones.
