my 98 corolla is not not accelerating mostly on highways and engine light keeps coming on...

Default my 98 corolla is not not accelerating mostly on highways and engine light keeps coming on...
...are the two related? my engine light has been coming on but goes out on its own the code indicated it was the catilytic conveter would this cause it not to accelerate?

if your exhuast is restricted, the car can't breathe, and cant pull air and fuel into the engine...































If you cant get rid of the breathe already in your lungs, you're gonna have a very hard time breathing in fresh are, and it is the same thing with yur engine.

if the engine light is on, then clearly there is something wrong with the engine.































yes a bad catalytic converter is bad and will cause you to loose power. either the oxygen sensors are bad and this could cause a decrease in power. or your catalytic converter is clogged and it would restrict the flow of exhaust gases which would also decrease power.

i think i have the same problem with my 92 4runner or your fuel injectors could be partially clogged..
