a hood scoop is for air intake a cooling, normally if it is a real one its either part of the hood or there is a hole in the hood and the scoop is placed over it so as you drive fast air is forced into it which then cools your engine and under hood components or if you have a blower or intake in front of it more air is fed into them hence more fuel is added and you get more power, an engine needs fuel and air to run at peak performance at a ratio of 14:1 so as more air is fed the system adds more fuel keeping it at or near that ratio and you will have better performance however most hood scoops now are only for show and just look good but dont do damn thing for you, other than that, lift tires brush guard fender flares i would get a light bar for the top with some nice off road lights on it, and make sure those tires are nice a beefy and wide
