93 toyota 4runner break down?

Default 93 toyota 4runner break down?
noticed a small oil leak. very very little i must add. checked oil full. drove to work. drove home. checked oil full. waited two hours started driving to my friends then all of sudden all the lights came on, truck lost all power and died. a fire started inside the engine. put fire out. checked oil. empty. now wont start.















what could have happened?

Looks like your small oil leak turned into a big one, and the oil got onto the exhaust manifold and caught fire.

Oil leak got worse, oil got onto something hot like the exhaust, oil set on fire. Possible all sorts of damage due to the fire. At the age of 16 not really economical to fix I would say.

You didn,t say if it was a 4 or 6 cylindr...This is a common thing on the 4 bangers...It starts out with a small leak,then it gets worse.Finally it will not run...It,s could be a bad head...They tend to crack and leak around the timing chain...
