Plan for $500. I find that's a good idea to budget that much for some repairs, even if not expected that high, because then you have enough $$ if something strange comes up.
True that it might cost arund $350 or less. Redoing a truck's manual tranny and clutch isn't that hard, so labor isn't that long. But if you get the clutch done DO EVERYTHING in the tranny that needs replacing, especially that damn throwout bearing. I've had a clutch redone, and didn't have throwout bearing done, and caused me couple hundred more. It seems I was always having throwout bearings replaced for some reason.
But manual trannies are easiest to work on. But expect $300-500 and you should be covered by anything they throw at you.
