Yes you have to Cut and splice some wires with a filter so that your tweets only get the Highs they are meant for. If you do not put the filter on before the tweets, they will get the full range of sound and try to reproduce it, which is very bad for them because they are not capable of producing full range sound.
Now, I can't remember if they come stock with Tweeters or not, but if they do. Then you can wire the Tweets up to those wires after you splice in the filter. Otherwise you'll have to run wires from your Mids.
