Does Toyota have to refund me my deposit?

I left a $500 deposit since they were ordering a car special for me. They said they'd return it. No where on our final contract does it mention the $500. However, they haven't returned it. They were mad about my trade in being not worth what they offered for it, but honestly it was their fault for offering me $4000 for it before even seeing it.

I tried calling to get my money, but the finance manager hasnt been available.

I paid $13,900 out the door for a car with a 19,000 msrp. My trade in was realistically worth $1,200. I think they really may have lost money on me and that's why they want to keep my 500.

Do you have proof you paid them a Deposit?

A receipt, a check? Anything?

If you can prove that you paid a Deposit and they didn't include that in any part of your transaction. Then yes they owe you a refund of that deposit.

IF you can't prove it..... well then you might have to take them to court or just keep complaining till they get tired of hearing it.

It's all a matter of proving who's right and who's wrong. With no proof there's not much you can do.
