Toyota is considered a foreign car, it is a Japanese car company. The part that confuses you is that a large percentage of the Toyota line is now manufactured in America, and provides many Americans with jobs. Some of the cars are even designed here in American design studios now.
Toyota has not laid off thousands of Americans like the American car companies though. They value thier people more than that, wether they are Japanese, or American workers. Which is why in my book Toyota is a better company.
