sometimes on newer systems if the ac is overcharged it will do this. most systems have a high pressure switch that will quickly cut the ac back off when it sees the pressure go past its upper limit. Newer cars it is pretty important to dial in the correct amount during charging with a proper machine. The days of connecting a set of gauges to a bottle and guessing at the amount have about ended. It may have to be evacuated and then recharged with the exact amount of refrigerant. Good Luck--T&T
