adding 4WD to 2006 tundra?

i bought a 2006 tundra a few weeks ago with the trd package on it. unfortunatly at the time i decided not to get the 4wd also becuase living in california it isnt really necessary and there just werent many that had it.

is it possible to install the 4wd package aftermarket? and if so any idea as to a ballpark cost?

Yes.

But it's far too much money.

Sell it, and buy one with 4WD.

You will spend WAY less money and it will be much, MUCH safer.

You have to get a Transfercase, linkage, hack up your interior to make room for it, the axles, the drivelines, etc.

On something that new you could be looking at 20K plus to put it in. Not including what you paid for the Vehicle.
