Default Main problems with early Supras? (80's)?
I love older supras, and there are a couple 82' ones here.































One guy claims he has owned it since 85' with only 140k on the OD































What are the main problems with these cars? what should i look out for or ask?































the one in question has had the timing belt done, clutch and water pump as well as a tune up and minor details.

ALWAYS, and I mean ALWAYS have it checked by a Mechanic before you buy.































It sounds legit, ask him if he's got the Recpiets for all the work that he had done just to make sure.































But taking it to an independant mechanic is the best move. They get paid, they aren't emotionally invested in it like you are. They can be completely objective. They will also be able to run tests (compression test, etc.) that might be a little hard for you to do.































They will be honest with you about what's wrong with it, because they already got paid. So they have no reason to lie so you buy the Car.

I know in the 80s models that the heads go out pretty easy. Other than that they are pretty good...they are a toyota so they will last quite a while.
