I believe it is a timing chain. Most new cars are using timing chains.

Belt.































They don't use Timing Chains anymore because they are overkill and tend to be rather noisy.































People want Quiet Cars these days. It's a belt.

Both the 4cyl and the V6 for 2006 have a timing chain.















It is the newer body style right? Because if its really a 2005 the V6 is a t-belt.

No doubts - is a timing belt. It is recommended by the manufacturer to be replaced every 100k or 4 years. I have replaced timing belt on several Camry's. Time allowed by LTS (labor time standards) is 3.2 hrs on 4 cylinders and 4.7 hrs on V6 engines.















LE model, from what I recall is a 4 cylinder engine, that means less expensive replacing costs.
