As a Toyota tech, I'll tell you I regularly work on Toyotas with over 300K, a few over 400K. I personally drive a Camry with 235K+ every day and never hesitate to take the wife and kids anywhere. Its that reliable. The Celica's of those years are known for leaky head gaskets and rear main seals. They will seep for tens of thousands of miles without causing anything other than a few spots on the driveway. Replace the timing belt every 80K, which is probably due now, and you'll be fine. Don't replace it and you'll be stranded and calling mommy for a ride home. Other than the timing belt, it'll run forever with proper maintenance and adding some oil here and there.
