Default Toyota Land-cruiser Prado Power Failure?
I own a 97 Landcuiser Prado with a diesel 1KZ engine. It suffers a general lack of power, emits a lot of smoke and guzzles a lot of fuel. I thought it was the turbo unit but this was checked and it is ok. My mechanic cannot figure out the problem and recommends I get a used engine. Would anyone know the likely cause of the problem? Would anyone know a source for decent, reasonably priced engine exporter (preferably in Japan)?

Have you had the Fuel Injectors looked at? or the Glow Plugs?































It sounds like it might not be buring all the Fuel.































Why would you want an engine from Japan? For sports cars. Yes you want the Japanese Engines. But since you already have the Diesels right there you could easily find something to replace it with.































Check out www.ih8mud.com HUGE Landcruiser website. There are lots of guys there that can help you decide on what engine to replace it with. If you need to replace it.
