What exhaust system should I use?

Default What exhaust system should I use?
Hey everyone. I just picked up an FJ60 Landcruiser and I'm doing it up. So far it has a 4 inch suspension lift, 34 inch off road tyres and a Racing Carb. What I really want is a high flow exhaust system that sounds like a V8. To pull this off do I need new extractors? And what exhausts will give the deep sound of a V8?































By the way the car has its stock 4.0L V6 engine.

Nothing will really make a V6 sound like a V8, but a V6 has a good sound of it's own.































The cheapest and easiest mod is a muffler (like a FlowMaster or Magnaflow) and a high-flow cat. The next step would be headers, which will REALLY change the exhaust note.































Like everything, it all depends on your budget.

Check man-a-fre.com They were one of the original aftermarket part suppliers that specialized in Land Crusher parts, way-back when...
