Default Finding a Alternator for a Toyota Solara 2001 SLE, Need one with high output.?
Trying to find a Alternator for my Toyota Solara 2001 SLE its an Older modeler and isnt the new one. i really need to find the best high output one for my car. Havent been able to find any type of parts for the car so hoping someone in the Yahoo world might know a part or another part that would work. im needing to upgrade the Alternator for a new 4500 watt system im installing in the car. Thank you.

I would suggest you talk to three people..... the guy you are buying the system from, then either the parts man at a Toyota dealership, or the guy at the Napa store, and the guy at an import car salvage yard.....































From the system guy you find out how much amperage you need, ....from the parts guy you find out if Toyota made an alternator with that many amps( my guess would be a truck) and if it can be made to fit.... you then have the salvage yard guy find you one....

You don't need to upgrade the Alternator.































The stock one will be just fine.































Nobody puts High Output Alternators in Solaras so if you REALLY want one you'll need to pay someone to make a Custom High Output one just for you.































Get two 2 Farad Capatictors. They will hold enough charge just by themselves.































You can get some backup Optima Batteries too.































But other than that, don't worry about it. Your stock Alternator is more than enough for that system.
