Should I replace my 04 Highlander belts?

I own 2004 Toyota Highlander v6 model.

I am getting my car serviced and it's at 63K miles now.

They are recommending timing belt and other belts to be replaced.

Searching on the web, timing belts are recommented to be replaced in every 90K or 6 years which I still have another year for 6 year.

Other belts are showing some usual wear (sounded like normal usual wear). I am getting serviced at the dealer, so I am trying not to get ripped off.

Should I replace these other belts?

In general, how often are these belts to be replaced?

Would it cause a big damage if one of these other belts is to break while driving on a highway going around 65miles/hour?

I like to change my accesory belts at around 50,000 miles. those belts won't cause damage if they break, just leave you stranded. the timing belt I usually change between 90,000 and 100,000 miles. if it breaks you can cause major internal damage to your engine. I would tell them to leave the timing belt alone for now.

Matthew does a good job of taking care of his vehicle from the sound of it. However, you can go to 90,000 miles before replacing them. That's what Toyota will tell you. Any earlier is good but an overkill. Just stick with the intervals that the manufacturer recommends- which is 90,000 miles. You'll be fine.
