Default P/S sign flashes n i cant steer.A cracking noise comes from steering.its a 7year old toyota...
...fielder.Help? Sometimes when i restart, the sign disappears n i can steer normally. When i make sharp corners, the cracking noise comes from steering (behind the airbag)

Might be (1) the power steering needs fluid (2) the belt for the power steering pump is faulty (3) the front end need lubrication (4) all of these and maybe more !!

Sounds like the steering column is taking a crap.































Take it to a mechanic.
