okay...um, that means you're low on oil , or are due for an oil change















































though, youre asking about a subaru icon, on a toyota forum for a BMW car...

It means you're low on oil, or other oil pressure problem.

Either time to change the oil or low pressure. Look in the owners manual or ask at the Subaru dealership. Every manufacturer has their own code for symbols. What it means on one may not apply to another. That's why you should never buy a used car without an owners manual and why you should always review the manual upon purchase for an explanation of warning symbols.

The is an oil pressure warning light. It will come on when the ignition is on and the engine is not running. If it is on when the engine is running, you have an oil pressure problem. Continuing to drive with the light on will most likely result in major engine damage.
