The short answer is yes, with effort you can get any car engine into any car. I have to agree with the above though, I have owned several V8 Rovers and, with care and attention to servicing they were reasonably reliable, (the engine is actually a Buick) but the 3.5 litre is 50 years old and shows it; even the twin plenum vitesse made less than 200bhp standard. For the kind of money you are talking to adapt the engine, the suspension and the brakes you could buy a very reasonable SCOOBY OR eVO AND ACTUALLY HAVE FUN DRIVING IT RATHER THAN MAKING IT.
