What's the spark plug clearance of a Toyota 4K engine and the correct engine timing?

Default What's the spark plug clearance of a Toyota 4K engine and the correct engine timing?
I set the timing at +18 and am not sure if it's correct.















Please indicate the spark plug clearance in millimeter (mm) or its equivalent. Thanks!!

8 to much.. or maybe 28, try -10 and use a bypass..

Most toyotas using a 4K motor will have a label on the underside of the bonnet/seat or on the strut tower which will give the correct settings.















In an Australian Corolla using the 4K motor the pug gap is 28 thou of an inch (sorry) and timing is 7-10 degrees advanced with the vaccuum line to the distributor removed.















Does your vehicle have points? They need renewing and setting as well.















All this applies to high octane fuel (super) and will need to be manually played with to match you fuel octane.
