Would someone give me more information on the Y-cable for CD installation in 2003 Prius?
I have a 1-disc CD player, #08601-00869, from a Sienna. Per instructions on this site, I bought the Y-cable, #08695-00370, with a setting kit, #08695-47800, to install the CD into my 2003 Prius. The large cable plug on the Y-cable fits either the CD or radio cable plugs, but the two smaller cable plugs on the Y-cable have too many pins to fit the smaller cable plug from the back of the radio. The radio cable has two plugs that seem to be the same size as the big CD and Y-cable plugs and one small plug with seven wires. Neither of the two small Y-cable ends, which have 12 pins, will fit the small plug off the radio, which is where I assume they should fit. I need more detailed instructions on how to fit this Y-cable or a part number for the correct Y-cable. Thanks.
A previous answer to a question indicated the CD player if have will work with the 2003 Prius. I need the proper Y-cable with three large plugs - one for the CD cable; one for the back of the radio; and one to fit the cable originally in the back of the radio - all the same except for gender. Help, please!
