What is the largest engine i could put under the hood of a 95 corolla dx?

just wondering what u think my options are i have 3 cars and really bored and wanna have a hobby and i plan on turning my corolla in to a tuner car looking for some ideas... thanks

In theory, you could try a 4AGE or a Supra engine.

Don't worry about bigger. Bigger is not better.































Yes you COULD put a 2jz-gte engine from a supra in there. It'll require extending the front end of your car and doing a massive RWD conversion, not to mention the engine and tranny.































If you do this yourself by some miracle... it'll cost somewhere in the rance of $12-15K. At a shop you're talking a $25k swap.































































Search for a 3s-gte engine from a MR-2 turbo or Celica GT-4.

Aside from the engine and new tranny all you'll need is new motor mounts.

Best overall engine you can install is the 4AGE engine, as it was produced by Toyota and Yamaha for performance.































There are alot of options for the motor and easy to find parts for making lots of power. That engine you have in yours is not made to rev very high and they tend to break connecting rods. It most likely has the 7AFE 1.8L engine in it, it will say on the hood label what engine family that is in there.

There are lots of engine that will surely fit your vehicle but this 4AGE engine seems to be the best option. You can also place a spectra premium engine oil pan.
