Default Will a Toyota Corolla be good in snow?
I want to lease a 2010 Toyota Corolla but I live in New England and the roads are poorly plowed in the winter. I also live on a steep hill that was impossible to get up in my old Ford Mustang (RWD). My family owns a Chevy Malibu (FWD) and that has no trouble getting around in the winter.































All things considered, will a Corolla do alright in winter? Anyone have any trouble getting around in theirs?































*******I know all wheel drive would be better, but I just can't find an affordable lease. Subaru wants $120 more per month than Toyota.*********

I live in Buffalo and my mom has a Toyota Yaris. Its a small car and I have driven it in the snow a few times. I didnt have a problem at all. I think you'd be fine.

So instead of leasing from Subaru, why not find another car company to lease from that has affordable AWD cars. Since you're obviously not stuck on Toyota.

Is your corolla a RWD, FWD, or 4WD? If its a RWD then it will be harder to drive through snow. If it is a FWD or a 4WD then it would be better to drive through the snow.

get a set of snow tires and in the spring... swap on the OE tires. Snow tires will make the most out of the conditions.































Also, have you considered a Matrix? It is available with AWD as well.































Even with AWD, snow tires will greatly enhance its effectiveness. Drive up to the New England ski resorts, you'll find the hardcore people with AWD cars also use snow tires.

new car? I would not take it in the snow. SNOW? 4x4. small cars are low to the ground, i would not want that
