how can I adjust the speedometer on my '04 Corolla S?

Default how can I adjust the speedometer on my '04 Corolla S?
I need some help in afjusting the speedometer, but I don't want to spend the cash taking it to a repair shop. Nearest one is over 1 1/2 hours away. (I live on an island)

I don't think there's any adjustment to made, but you might want to check out the speedOmeter cable.

How far off is your speedometer? There are two options. You can change the tire size or take it to a Toyota shop. There's not a cheap way out. Email me with the tire size and what speed your car is moving and what speed it is showing and I will calculate what size tires your car needs to fix your speedometer.

i doubt that it is adjustable. You are talking about the "speedometer" and not the "odometer" right?















it can probably be re-programmed with the "factory" scan tool. the dealer would have to do that. most car companies calibrate the speedos to read 3-5% high with full tire tread. as tires wear the reading gets closer to right on. you can run 60 mph indicated between mileposts and time yourself with a stop watch and calculate the true speed - or use a gps speed read out.
