I have heard that all Corolla's are very noisy, hearing road noise, wind noise, and road bumps. I have also heard the new Corolla's now have electric steering instead of a power steering pump(which makes them drive more responsively). Electric steering is the cheap version of steering used to place more money in Toyota's pocket at the expense of consumers. And noise blocking material also costs money so you don't get that either. why do you think Corolla's are so cheap to buy? You get what you pay for...well, sometimes. Even the new Camry's have cheap steering and plastic. I have an old 99 toyota Camry Solara. Sound blocking material everywhere, power steering pump, and it drives like a true dream. Seems Toyota is losing touch here. consumers at least deserve a quiet drivable car, no matter what the model. My next car may well NOT be a noisy, poor steering car. Transmissions on all models now shift poorly too, to save mileage and gas at the expense of poor shifting. Wake up Toyota. Your no better than Chrysler, and you may end up where they are. Give us what we want or we'll go else where.
