Toyota Sienna 2007 60K + miles... lots of family vacationing. My wife reports to me one day a grinding noise from the front left wheel driver side. I test driver the van and and feel a grinding vibration. What I've noticed is this
1. Shifting from Park to Reverse to Drive (randomly)... smooth as can be. No problems with any hard shifts or clunk noises. Reverses out of an inclined drive way with no problems. While driving in low speeds I notice a clicking noise.
I removed the tires and checked the caliber on both sides... fine
Breaks on both sides are fine as well
Rotating the left front wheel back and forth (1/2 circles) while the van is jacked and in neutral I can hear like a clicking noise right where the Axle assembly goes into the trans. I'm taking my van to a shop but wanted to be sure to tell them the correct issues I'm having. Anyone have any similar issues?
This looks like pretty cut clear evidence that Toyota is slipping badly. Two years old, and ok 60 k miles....but this happening is not acceptable. It is something that you would expect to happen on a Chrysler or Dodge. Toyota is a sham.
