If so than why its so small a crappy what the point?. I see lots of vids of people putting superchargers on these things and body kits they look like little Hot wheels cars.

because in Europe, since the majority of their income goes to taxes, and if they can afford a car, they get taxed even more, including CO2 emissions tax &"Value Added Tax"--- it restricts their choices to smaller, more fuel efficient cars.

And what's the point of modifying a Yaris? It is because they can

Fool dont hate, racing doesn't really matter on the machine you use, its more on the skills and the type of competition its in. Anyway, they also race the yaris in Japan, also known as the "Vitz" think of the type of racing that mini copers are in. its small, but quick. But then again, you can make any car faster than any other on the road, or on the track. ;D

Because they're cheap and light, as well as having many parts available to make them faster than something that costs 3x or more than it. They have the Vitz and Vios one-make races in different countries.
