if you are talking about a 1987 with a 7mge 3 litre motor and a 89 with a 7mgte yep you can use the non turbo gasket but be prepared to replace it after approx 10to 20 thousand miles because of the type of material used in the non turbo gasket compared to the turbo type also remember to tension the head down further than toyota recomend
