Default AE86 Corolla sr5 with 4a-ge block?
I want to get an ae101 engine for a 1986 rolla sr5 rwd but i can only find 1995-1997 series on ebay and thats not compatible...If i just get the head assembly for the newer ae101 20valve engine, can i swap it out to the older engine?

what do you mean its not compatible...it is...just need to convert the harness and run a different ecu.....its been done plenty of times...if thats too much work for you then why not settle for a 4agze motor...its the supercharged version of the 4age....

you must have a terino or levin ae86 a 4age 20valve head will fit onto the std 4ag but why not just fit the complete later 4age 20valve the std computer will run the later motor or better still drop a 4agze supercharged motor in this is avery common conversion to the ea86 sprinter/levin/terino
