Default I have an American 1999 Toyota Celica and I need help with the engine info?
I have an American 1999 Toyota Celica that is a 4 speed automatic and I want to know if it is possible to use a 3SGTE engine from a Celica GT-four from Japan in my American car and use the American Celica's transmission on the 3SGTE engine to use the American Celica's body... Is it possible? how much might it cost?















(just the swap of engines and transmissions, not buying a Japanese car)

There is a GT and GT-s Celica with 2 engines which are built with same parts as in japan although parts are made in America too. 85% on Celica.

Yes, it is possible and you're probably going to spend around $4,000 to have it done. Also, if you want an automatic, a Camry V6 automatic transmission bolts up nicely and works well the 3S-GTE. It wasn't intended for the 3S-GTE but it bolts nicely and works well with it.
