Yes! There are several systems which they do not have to check as compared to a hybrid. Any dealer can give a maintenance schedule and discuss the differences with you.

Camry and yes it does...you don't have to pay $8000-$9000 for those pesky batteries.

Depends on how long you want to keep the car. In the short term the hybrid maintenance is no worse, perhaps better than the normal engined version. However, in the long run those batteries are going to need replacing in 150,000miles. If you are going to trash the car then, that'sfine.

To answer your question: No, gas motors are more expensive to maintain. At least in my opinion.
