Default 1997 toyota corolla kills after engine warms up and will not start unstill engine is cool.?
no check engine light comes on.It will start when cold,but after the engine warms up about 5 to 10 minutes idle the engine kills.

I just had the same problem with my toyota truck, but mine would stay running until i shut it off then it wouldnt start back. I replaced almost everything i could afford. But the problem was a starter wire some how. I replaced fuel pump and fuel filter, throttle position sensor, mass air for sensor, ignition coil, and ignition module. Start with the cheapest and easiest first, a lot of times it has to do with the ignition.

Replace your dated ignition coil. This coil acts as a step up transformer that provide the high tension sparks continuous to your spark plugs. Do ensure proper ventilation too! Once it is overheated, the energy produced will be very low resulted in the shut down of the engine.
