If you turn the mattress and box springs up on their side it shouldn't be a problem. That's the way everyone else does it when moving bedding. You can even move a king size that way.

Not all Tacomas have the same body width; a 2003 Tacoma has between 66-70 inches of width depending on trim level, whereas a 2009 Tacoma has about 72-74 inches. I moved a queen bed with a 1998 Chevy Silverado and the queen bed, tilted outward STILL extended out quite a bit. My best advice would be to tie the mattress down with the bed laying on top of the bed rails.
