A corolla is a compact sedan and a Camry is a mid size sedan.
The Corolla is aimed more toward the entry level owner and designed to seem a bit more "sporty"
The Camry is more of a model for the mid range owner who wants a more "Serious" vehicle.
The Corolla is available in a 1.6 and a 1.8 4 cylinder engine configuration and there is also a "top end" Corolla badged Xrs which is a bit faster than the base model.
The Camry comes with either a 4 cylinder, 6 cylinder and hybrid engine. The V6 camry's have a good amount of power so you will not be as slow as many other 4 cylinder sedans.
The price difference is also about 8-10K dollars.
