2001 Tacoma Mass Air Sensor?

Default 2001 Tacoma Mass Air Sensor?
I just changed the timing belt and pulleys and H2o pump. I got a check engine light when I drove it. I took it to Advance Auto Parts for their free code reading. The code said dirty MAS. It made sense to me since I had to move the air cleaner to access the job. I cleaned it and the light was still on. I did the Ohm check. Ok. Then blew air into the sensor and got the proper fluctuation in voltage. Reset the check engine light, it still came on. Any clue what I can do myself next, before I have to pay for a complete diagnostic?

may b kinda overkill but u cud swap it with a new 1 and see if thats really the problem......advance and most auto zones will take back the part as long as u dont damage it......

Get a can of air, lightly spray the MAS.. Replace the air filter... Drive the truck for a few minutes and see what happens. It might be the computer needs time to read the sensor or it could be a failed sensor.

What exactly was the code? What was the 'P' number? Sometimes the codes don't seem to reflect the actual problem, so let me know.
