is a 1989 toyota mr2 supercharged a good car to drift in?

Why would you even try to drift? I know someone who does, and they have wrecked many cars. I'd advise you not to drift, but that's all I can do. Besides, supercharging a car will make the engine idle very rough, almost to the point of where the engine dies on you and you have to start it again. You are better off getting a turbo

To answer your question and I do not agree with drifting for safety reasons. The supercharger is almost instant response, the turbo is not. To drift you must have linear throttle response and only a supercharger can do that...............or get an American V-6 or V-8, No substitute for cubic inches.

No, bad choice, because the weight of the car is directly over the rear wheels. For drifting it's better to have a nose heavy rear wheel drive car, like a Mustang, that makes high power and is relatively weight biased towards the front wheels.

Supercharger will give you immediate response which is what you need.































You will have trouble because its a mid engine car that isn't build to drift.















































































What you have in the MR2 is pretty much a track car... enjoy it as it was meant to be enjoyed.
