Default replace center u-joint for 03 v6 4wd highlander?
dealer wont sell me the center u-joint for my 4wd v6 and says I have to buy the whole driveshaft..advice on repair much appreciated

U joints are not that difficult to change out you may half to go to an aftermarket store like NAPA or Autozone I would recommend NAPA U Joints are not that expensive just a trick to change them out..

That doesn't sound right, but THESE days NOTHING is a total surprise. I would go to an on-line parts source and verify this before paying for a whole new shaft......

Same deal for my 2005 Highlander with a bad U-Joint. Gotta replace the whole drive shaft. Why go for the $14.95 repair when you can go for the $1200. Unlike all my other Toyota's this one is killing me and I can't wait to get rid of it.
