Are Toyota Yaris's a good car?

Default Are Toyota Yaris's a good car?
I'm debating on a scion or a toyota yaris the newer ones. I have a VW and it is extremely expensive to fix so I want to go for a new reliable one.

My daughter has just bought a new Yaris under the scrappage deal and is thrilled with it and I must say I am well impressed with all the aspects of it.















We have friends with one that is three years old as a run around and it has always been trouble free and economical to run.

A great little car. There are two in my family now, and both owners love them. The Scion is ALSO a real good car. My daughter has a TC and I love driving it. Very quick and sporty.

From the UK point of view (we don't get the Scion over here) the Yaris is a well-respected small car and relatively trouble-free. Toyotas in general are beloved in this country by those attracted by their legendary reliability - not necessarily the "coolest" or most exciting but they do tend to go on for ever.

Yaris is a good car and reliable but when they do go wrong they cost around the same as VWs to get fixed.















The Scion is not currently sold in the UK.















I make that point as this is on the UK and Ireland part of YA so assume you are UK or Ireland based.

Yaris is the right choice, go for it. VW? forget it never buy another VW again. Every service and parts are unreasonably expensive, worst is that it is not reliable.
