I had a similar problem this last winter. I moved to an area that had snow. I drove a 97 Pontiac Trans Am with rear wheel drive and pushing 350 horse. Not trying to brag but I though it would be hell on the snow. Turns out my car ran great on snow. It really depends on what kind of tires you have. Low profile tires are going to suck no matter what. Try going to a tire shop and having your tires siped. They'll cut into your tire so that it will gain traction.
