Default How do I get the CEL code off a 2007 Toyota Corolla?
On my Honda there is a jumper I can use to have the car flash the code to me. Is there such a thing on my 2007 Corolla?

All cars manufactured for sale in the US since 1996 have been equipped with OBD2 diagnostics. They require a tool to reset the CEL or read the codes. Generally refered to as a "scanner". Scanners come in all price ranges, $39 up to over $4000! Prior to 1996, owners could reset their own CEL or flash out the codes, proceedure varied by manufacturer, usually no tool required. Any chance your 2007 is still under warrenty? Check with a dealer. Many auto parts suppliers will read codes for you at no cost. Autozone advertises this service, hopeing to sell you some parts.

Must have an OBD-2 scanner to extract codes,no other way.

i don't think so. just go to an autozone or other store that would read the code for free.

Go to autozone or any "chain" autoparts store and they will scan your car for free. They are hopeless when it comes to explaining the code, but repost on here and someone with the manual will tell you exactly what the code stands for. The new OBD2 systems are horrible for mods, but great for stock. Half the time the code will end up being something as simple as a brief misfire(system will even tell you exactly what cylinder misfired). Btw, easiest way to reset is just to disconnect your neg batt cable for 10 sec and it will clear the codes.
