Well, if theres a sticker on your back window that says AWD then its 4 wheel drive. If theres a drive shaft going up to the front then its all wheel drive (a pipe thing connecting to the wheels).

have a buddy lift up the back of the car































put it in drive and accelerate































if you dont move its 2wd































if you do move its either front of four wheel drive

You don't know whether it's a 4x4?































There are two ways to determine this.































Is there a short lever on the floor next to you, marked with "4H,""4L," etc.? That's the transfer case lever. (Alternatively, it may be indicated via pushbuttons on the dash.)































Look underneath at the front axle. If it has a "pumpkin" (bulge) off-center, probably on the driver's side, it's four-wheel drive.
