My 2004 has 103,000 trouble-free miles. You want to see the logs, or spreadsheet, to make sure the maintenance has been done. Some folks like to do some preventive maintenance at 100,000 miles such as change the engine water pump and inverter water pump because pumps don't last forever in any car. Spark plugs and coolant should have been changed at 100,000 miles too. The previous owner should have this recorded, otherwise you should do this. Also look for regular transaxle fluid changes.
Like any used car, you should have it inspected, you might want to hire one of those inspection companies if you don't have the skills to do it yourself.
The traction battery in the 2004 is a non-issue. There is a small 12V battery that may need replacing, though I've never replaced mine.
