Default hiya please explain these two questions to me as i am really confused on this.Please Help!?
My first question is that what does the T in T2,T3-S,T3-X and T Spirit means as my brother is going to buy a 2005 55 plate Toyota Avensis 2.0 D-4D T-Spirit so please helpme on this.















Does that T means Turbo Spirit if not then what does it mean.















Is that car got turbo as the guy in shop told us that the car does have turbo but how to find out if the car got turbo or not as i am really confused on this.















I really like the car but i am just asking these questions to clear my confusion.















Second question is that is 2.0 D-4D Diesel engine with 114 bhp and 207 lbs/ft of torque is enough for quick acceleration or not.















The 0-62 mph of this car is 11.4 seconds which i think should be good.What you say.















Please let me know.

Im guessing its a 2 litre 4 wheel drive turbo diesel , To check lift the bonnet and look for a turbo charger , biggish thing with a pipe going to the air intake , as for the 0 - 62 ,thing , what are you intending doing , drag racing ? , Stats like that are usually taken under ideal conditions with finely tuned engines in new cars

Manufacturers use letters and numbers almost at random now - not every car with a T on the back has a turbo. just about all deisels have a turbo for efficiency rather than performance - it is nothing special at all. My Peugoeot 1.4 diesel van has a turbo and seems to take about a fortnight to hit 60 from a standing start.















11.4 to 62 is neither fast nor slow - very very average like the Avensis except in the looks department where it is a low scorer. On the up side it will be reliable.
